This week the cold weather has come out with a most noticable vengeance. I believe I will need to wear a coat to the last home football game at Mizzou.
Our November meeting was all about Gadgets. First, George Kopp picked up from last month and showed highlights of the new watchOS 3 ad tvOS 10. Then, Tom Piper, Peggy Landwher and Mark Snell showed some neat gadgets you might like to request on your Christmas list. After the Great Break, George Kopp and I showed even more gadgets. The slideshows from most of these are available on our website at applejac.typepad.com/presentations.
The following people won door prizes at the November Meeting:

Most of our members have now had a few months to get their free Micro Fiber cloths. Since we have had several requests to buy extra cloths, they are now available for just $3.00 each, or two for $5.00.
After two years as President, I will only be running for Member-at-Large on the appleJAC Board this year. I am excited that we have a couple new faces nominated this year, along with some of our veterans. We will continue to accept nominations for all Board positions until the middle of our next meeting.
Our upcoming December 6, 2016, meeting will be the Annual Business Meeting at IC School(see agenda below). Since I will be unavailable, Peggy Landwehr will lead this meeting. Jason Piper will present some email security information you should be aware of. Nominations are open until just before the elections for next year's officers. As always, there will be time for everyone to ask questions and share your tips and tricks to the group.
In lieu of a personal presentation at the meeting, my brief annual President’s report is posted here. During my two years as President, we maintained the membership and financial status at a level similar to when I took office. During this time, we were able to provide Immaculate Conception School (IC) with a digital projector, mounted the AppleTV semi-permanently to it, tapped into the existing IC sound system, and added wireless microphones to it . . . this all made setting up a meeting much easier.
We have traveled to Fulton last year, and Mokane schools this year for a Mac-at-work session. We have had a couple great Picnic gatherings, and many excellent meetings. I’m pleased with our progress, have enjoyed this leadership role, and glad that our members seem to be happy with the programs we provided. Hereafter, I look forward to working as a Member-at-Large on the Board to help with a smooth transition and continue to help with Demos and Tips that can benefit the group. Thanks to everyone who has participated and been supportive of my efforts.
Please continue to visit our website for more updates and fresh information.
Keep in mind, if Jefferson City Public Schools closes for snow on the day of our scheduled gathering, we will also cancel our meeting.
