Christmas and New Year’s celebrations are now over. I spent this time with my niece and nephew in California, highlighted by a return trip to Disneyland (I was last there 46 years ago). This has been a time to be thankful for all of the blessings we share in our lives, and to give generously to those who are less fortunate than us. I hope you took time to remember the “reason for the season”, and celebrate
with family, friends and co-workers. Here is a Happy New Year to all (be careful with your resolutions).
At our last meeting, we learned about 30 gadgets in a bit over 60 minuites with rousing presentations from George Kopp, Greg Breuer, Joe Mertzlufft, Peggy Landwehr, Julie Smith, and me. A specially-designed appleJAC-logoed cleaning cloth was given as a Christmas present to all members in attendance. The evening’s door prize winners included:
- appleJAC chip clip John Knapp
- appleJAC 6-in-1 desk tool Alice Kopp
- appleJAC flashlight Julie Smith
- Mac Annoyances (book) Winnie Krause
- iPod touch for Dummies (book) John Bagby
- TopXNotes (software) Zach Fletcher

Our next meeting will feature the combo package iLife ’11 and “what did you get for Christmas?”. We will also ask everyone for topics you would like to hear about at our 2011 meetings. This will be another fun and informative meeting.
Our next meeting will be at the Sixth Grade Commons (Conference Room 600) at Lewis and Clark Middle School. Mark your calendar NOW for this interesting meeting on Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at 7:00 pm. Bring family, friends and new members to get the most out of your Mac and other Apple products.
