One of our members recently reported the receipt of the message you see at right (it didn't look legitimate, and even had a voice-over that said he had a virus in his computer) . . . every get one of these? WATCH OUT, this is a hoax that can cause you a lot of time and money from which to recover.
DO NOT call this number nor contact them in any way. It is a scam and not simple to eliminate. One solution is to download and run AdwareMedic:

This program is free (a donation requested), and can be quite effective. But, as one of our club gurus says, you may need to look at removing Safari extensions and resetting your home page in Safari too. (thanks to George Kopp for advice)
