They’re packed with tips, illustrative screenshots, and real-world advice.
  
• You can’t get any more core than macOS’s Unix foundations, and even while Apple tries to “protect” us all from scary things like the Library folder (hold Shift to see it in the Finder’s Go menu!), if you study Joe’s Take Control of the Mac Command Line with Terminal, you’ll get super powers. We can promise X-ray vision into the Mac’s file system, navigating nested directories and managing related files with a single command, and mind control over remote computers.

President's Place: April 2017

Spring has arrived in Missouri, with a mix of very warm, very cold, very rainy and very windy. The first mowing of my lawn has already happened, even before I got all of the winter trash cleaned up -- where does the time go? Meanwhile, Letha and I have enjoyed some movie time together with the incredible "Beauty and the Beast", and the much-discussed "The Shack", both of which we would recommend seeing. If you wait, you can probably get them on Netflix or Amazon for your iPad.

About 25 people enjoyed George Kopp's iPad Class on March 28, with many requesting that he continue with a second edition. These are valuable classes that can really build on the utility of your technology investment.

The March 7 meeting was all about “Mac & iPad Interplay: Duet, AirDisplay, Reflector, QuickTime, more” with Jason Piper and George Kopp as our presenters. Many thanks to Joe Mertzlufft for providing the refreshments for the evening. People who won doorprizes included:

He explains how to develop an efficient approach that reduces the amount of time you spend pressing buttons, launching apps, and otherwise managing your war on clutter.

If you’ve already embarked on a campaign to reduce the amount of paper in your life, Take Control of Your Paperless Office has a chapter about reassessing your strategy to make sure you’re working as effectively as possible given recent changes in hardware, software, and services.
