Its 82°outside, low humidity, and a great day to fly my quadropters. But, first, I was thinking of all of my friends with Apple technology, so just wanted to share a few thoughts before moving into the sun.
this bares repeating . . . we are looking forward to the September release of macOS 10.13 High Sierra and iOS 11, as well as major updates to tvOS, watchOS and CarPlay, all of which promise to deliver amazing advances in productivity (for details, watch the WWDC announcements at apple.com/WWDC). Public betas of these are available now, but be careful . . . before ANY upgrade, now or later, BACKUP your computer and devices FIRST, using either Time Machine or a cloning program . . . hard drives are plentiful and cheap (amazon.com/harddrives)!!!
Our last meeting at the Landwehrs home was well attended (thank you Peggy and John for your support). Jason and I did a recap of our July trip to Macstock, which was great (see our slideshow in another message below). Jason and Joe then talked about popular games available on the Mac, iPhone, iPad and appleTV. You will also have a chance to share games that you have enjoyed on these platforms. It was a fun and entertaining evening.
The next meeting is about "New macOS/iOS Preview + General Question Session" . . . the preview is actually all about things to do before upgrading to the new systems, and when to actually do it. We also anticipate announcement of the iPhone (maybe more) on September 12, so we will talk about the latest rumors. The second half of the meeting will be devoted to responses to questions from our members. Our first answers will go to those questions submitted in advance to [email protected]. Review the agenda below for more details.
And, looking ahead, George Kopp just confirmed that his next iPad class at Kennedy Hall will be 7:00pm, October 12, 2017. He will use this opportunity to present all the new features available on the latest iOS 11 for iPads and iPhones.
As always, we hope that you can attend our meetings along with friends and family. Its not only an opportunity to answer your questions and learn more about your valuable investments in technology, but also to share your experiences with others who enjoy the best computers and mobile devices of our time. See you there . . .
