Learn about browsers and Mac automation with updated Take Control books

If you’ve ever felt like you should be getting more out of your browser, I recommend this book to you. It covers all the major browsers on both Mac and Windows, with somewhat less information on iOS/iPadOS and Android. Learn browsing tricks and tips of the pros, how to stay safe and avoid unwanted ads and tracking, the best ways to customize your browsers, why you might use different browsers for different purposes, and much more. The book—freshly updated to cover Safari 13 and more—is normally $14.99, but it’s on sale through December 2 for just $7.50.   Next is my book Take Control of Automating Your Mac. You don’t have to be a computer geek to find time-saving shortcuts to lots of everyday activities you do with your Mac. This book is a compendium of some of the best tools and techniques I’ve found for making a Mac do more work with less effort. Many of them use only stuff built into macOS, though I also discuss third-party apps that can do even fancier things. (And, the book includes coupons worth over $100 on 10 of my favorite automation tools.)
